Castle Douglas is just off the main A75 Carlisle to Stranraer / Cairnryan road approximately 17 miles west of Dumfries. Travelling from Dumfries and the east, or Cairnryan and the west, follow the sign into town from the A75 roundabout. The road from Ayr and the north takes you straight into town.
